Prezioso successo del Videoton sull’MGM 2000: i rossoblù portano a casa l’intera posta in palio al termine di un match vibrante e spigoloso, combattuto colpo su colpo. A fare la differenza è stata la compattezza messa in campo dai ragazzi di mister De Ieso.
Aver ritrovato De Freitas dopo la squalifica è stato fondamentale per la tenuta mentale durante il match, in cui hanno comunque tutti svolto bene i rispettivi compiti: attenzione e concentrazione hanno permesso ai cremaschi di ottenere i tre punti e festeggiare alla grande durante il ritorno dalla trasferta.
Alla Palestra Comunale di Morbegno il primo tempo è piuttosto bloccato: il Videoton ad aprire le danze grazie allo 0-1 firmato da De Freitas, ma i padroni di casa sono bravi a ribaltare il match prima dell’intervallo con un letale uno-due per il 2-1 al rientro negli spogliatoi.
La ripresa si apre con il pressing del Videoton, ma l’MGM riesce ad allungare sul 3-1. I rossoblù devono attaccare senza commettere più errori per riaprire il match: a togliere le castagne dal fuoco ci pensa Pagano, che insacca il 3-2 e accorcia le distanze.
L’inerzia del match sembra chiara e il vento rossoblù soffia forte a Morbegno, ma i padroni di casa trovano un varco in campo aperto per il 4-2.
La gara si alza di tono, ritmo e intensità: il Videoton continua a macinare gioco e costruire occasioni, vedendo premiati i propri sforzi con una sequenza di reti decisiva.
Il break che spacca in due il match, porta le firme di Maietti, Porceddu, ancora Maietti e Lopez: quattro reti che rovesciano completamente il risultato, ora sul 4-6 per il Videoton.
L’MGM prova a giocarsi il tutto per tutto con il portiere di movimento: buona l’esecuzione dei locali, che trovano il 5-6 a pochi istanti dalla fine.
Il Videoton è bravo a resistere agli ultimi assalti dei padroni di casa e a non incassare gol: il punteggio non cambia e i rossoblù conquistano i tre punti, che valgono il 3° posto al termine della 10^ giornata.
